Watercolour - Print and Map Restoration

With over 40 years experience in the restoration and conservation of fine prints, watercolours, drawings and maps, I provide a comprehensive and reliable service.

I have acquired a reputation for rescuing and conserving valuable works of art on paper, sometimes in very poor condition.

Linen Backing of Posters

Linen backing makes fragile film posters strong, flat and easy to roll and unroll safely.

Aesthetically pleasing. Rubbed fold lines can be retouched. A museum standard reversible process.

We can restore items up to 30" x 41".

How To Get Started:

Simply and let me know the size and general condition of your picture and I should be able to give you an approximate estimate straight away. Even better, if you can email an image, with dimensions, I can usually give a more accurate estimate. A free, fixed quotation can be obtained with no obligation, if you can bring, or deliver the picture to my studio in central Bristol.

Prices:

No Value Added Tax is charged. Pay only the basic trade price. The same as framers, dealers and galleries, who can add up to 100% plus VAT on my work for their customers.
Save money by dealing directly with the restorer.

Packing and Postage:

If you would like to go ahead, simply pack the picture (no glass) in tissue between two strong stiff boards, and secure with plenty of parcel tape. If your flat pack is less than 24" x 18" I recommend Post Office "Special Delivery" which is very reliable and insurable at low cost. Larger packs can be sent via Post Office "Parcel Force" but do use hardboard or similar for extra strength.
